Once upon a time Bailey Long married Luzinka Newman . . . and the rest is history. They had a son, Wayne, and a daughter, Geneva. Wayne married Billie Jo and from there came five children…to eight grandchildren…to 12 great-grandchildren. Geneva married Wyndal Dunn and from there came one daughter... to three grandchildren…to six great-grandchildren. The love of these people, along with the host of spouses and significant others, lives on today.Because two people decided to join their lives nearly 90 years ago, our family now consists of the names: Long, Dunn, Boes, Slagle, Gallegos, Caviness, Daniels, Gray, and Golden. A Long list, indeed :)
They all travel to Mansfield, TX to be together once again to celebrate kinship, family, and a love that started so many years ago between two remarkable people. This love created a group of determined brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and uncles who will keep their legacy alive.
So, let’s celebrate and get to know each other better, while ensuring that our children and grandchildren go forward with a bond and with family stories to pass down to the next generations of the Long Family.
